Supporting Neurodiverse Teens and Young Adults as they navigate dating, relationships and friendships
Individual and Group Social Skills and Relationship Coaching provided via teletherapy or in person by a certified Speech and Language Pathologist
My specialities include helping teens and young adults with disabilities initiate and maintain relationships and friendships as well as assisting them in moving through day to day social experiences constructively. Working through social differences can create opportunities for clients to access their ability to experience more happiness and connection within their relationships. Through my extensive training and research, I am able to offer many skills and methods in order to help clients engage in conversations, interact appropriately with peers in addition to their day to day interactions in order to successfully gain more intimacy and authenticity. I offer both individual therapy and group courses.
Our Focus
Dating
Everyone has a basic need for love and affection, no matter their age or neurological condition. Not everyone knows how to go about finding it.
Friendships
It can often be difficult to understand the informal interaction rules and nuances that is required to negotiate and practice initiating and maintaining friendships.
Relationships
Teens with disabilities often find it difficult to develop and sustain more intimate, romantic relationships.
